Senior official warns of major risk, calls Aoun's Nabatieh visit a gamble

A senior official says the situation in Lebanon is not reassuring at all, warning that the danger at this stage is very serious amid rapid developments in the region and their repercussions inside Lebanon. He praised President Joseph Aoun's visit to the Nabatieh area, saying it involved a personal gamble amid the continued Israeli attacks and the targeting of the area. He said Lebanon finds itself in the eye of the storm with every external development, given the internal arena's susceptibility to regional and international spillover, and urged Lebanese people to move beyond divisions, strengthen political and official cohesion, draw on past experience, and avoid any steps that could provide pretexts for new hostile acts.
