United States studies plan to seize enriched uranium from Iran

The United States is studying a plan to seize enriched uranium from Iranian nuclear facilities. Joseph Rodgers, deputy director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said the most likely method would be for thousands of ground troops to enter the Iranian nuclear facilities, dealing with explosive booby traps, using engineering teams and maintaining a large defensive force around the sites. He added that a small special operations team would then carry out the actual recovery operation, describing it as highly dangerous, logistically complex and difficult in a contested environment.
