Lebanese Foreign Minister says state priority is recovering Hezb weapons

Lebanese Foreign Minister: The Lebanese Army today has the required capabilities, and the focus now is on expanding its control to cover the entire South, as well as all Lebanese territory. He added that Washington is trusted to ensure Israel’s commitment, and that Lebanon is hoped to be free from all occupation and all illegal weapons. He said there is, for the first time, an international agreement under which the Lebanese government affirms that it is the sole authority authorized to make decisions of war and peace, and that the state is determined to restore its authority. He concluded that the priority is to recover Hezb’s weapons, and after that, if they want to become merely a political party, so be it.
