U.S. delegation walks out of UN Security Council session

The U.S. delegation walked out of a UN Security Council session on Monday in protest over French remarks criticizing Washington's recent vote on a human rights issue and comparing the United States to North Korea and Russia. Last Friday, the United States was among 10 countries that voted in the UN General Assembly against renewing the mandate of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, alongside North Korea, Russia, Nicaragua, and Mali.
