Oman proposes regional mechanism for Strait of Hormuz fees

US media reported that Oman has presented Iran with a proposal for a joint regional mechanism to manage the Strait of Hormuz based on voluntary fees. Reuters, citing a Gulf source, said Oman has won Gulf support for a plan allowing Tehran to collect voluntary fees for using the Strait of Hormuz.
