Axios: Netanyahu showed Trump a map of Syria

Axios, quoting an Israeli official, said Netanyahu presented Trump with a map of Syria showing that Turkish-controlled areas in Syria are 50 times larger than those under Israeli control. Netanyahu said during his meeting with Trump that Turkey controls 5 percent of Syria, while Israel controls 0.1 percent. A U.S. official said that, unlike the Israeli occupation in southern Syria, the Turkish military presence in northern Syria is currently there with the consent and invitation of the Syrian government. Netanyahu also told Trump that Israel will keep its presence in the buffer zone in southern Syria as long as the threat from jihadist groups continues.
