US aid conditional on Lebanon's commitments under framework agreement

US sources indicated that US aid will remain conditional on Lebanon's ability to implement the commitments pledged under the framework agreement regarding the restriction of weapons and the deployment of the army. The US administration will propose the presence of an international force in Lebanon to assist the Lebanese Army in implementing the framework agreement and restricting weapons, which would include American and other European troops. Additionally, the idea of peace with Israel will be proposed at an advanced stage as part of the US president's plan for the Middle East.
