Dispute erupts inside Democrats party meeting over campaign messaging

Enemy media: According to Ynet, a dispute broke out this week during a faction meeting of The Democrats party between Gaby Lasky and Yair Golan over discipline in the campaign's messaging. Lasky told Golan not to say “Judea and Samaria” and to say “the West Bank” instead. Golan replied that he rejects the idea that “Judea and Samaria” is a right-wing term. There was also criticism of Golan’s response to the attack near Havat Gilad. Arab-sector candidates Soumia Bashir and Iyad Badir said they had received extensive negative feedback about Golan’s response to the attack. People present said some party members viewed Golan’s message as right-wing and aligned with the settlers’ narrative. The Democrats party said it does not comment on discussions held behind closed doors.
