Mediators condemn ongoing Israeli violations in Gaza

Joint statement issued by the mediators in Cairo, 3 August 2026: Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, as mediating countries, condemned and strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, especially the targeting of health facilities and the fall of civilian casualties, including women and children. The mediators stressed the need for Israel to comply with all its obligations under international law and to fully fulfill its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, saying the استمرار of these violations constitutes a breach of the agreement, undermines efforts to implement its second phase, threatens the path of de-escalation and increases the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip. They also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and exert the necessary pressure on Israel to honor its obligations, in a way that ensures the continued implementation of the US President’s peace plan and prevents efforts toward a sustained de-escalation from being undermined, leading to a permanent ceasefire and an end to the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip.
