British maritime agency says vessel directly targeted northeast of Oman

The British maritime agency says a vessel was directly targeted northeast of Oman, 20 nautical miles northeast of Khasab. A cargo vessel had broadcast on VHF 16 that it had been struck by an unknown projectile. Authorities are investigating, and ships have been advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to British Maritime Trade Operations.
