Frangieh says Lebanon became a bargaining chip in US-Iran talks

🔴 Sleiman Frangieh said that Israel did not stop the fire but Lebanon did, and that Lebanese towns are being destroyed because Lebanon responds to the Americans while Israel does not, adding that this gave it legitimacy and Lebanon gained nothing. He said Lebanon has become a card in the hands of the Americans at the negotiating table with Iran, and that an Iranian-American understanding is the solution and would lead to fertile ground for a settlement. He added that his relationship with the Americans is clear, and that he may disagree with them or agree with them, but he has not changed his position for fifty years, while their calculations changed and he did not. He said he had previously been their candidate, but with the arrival of the new ambassador the relationship was cut off, although he does not know them.
