Revolutionary Guard links Hormuz reopening to Washington’s full compliance

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on Washington’s full approval of its conditions, and that if Washington agrees to those conditions, the strait will certainly be reopened. The Revolutionary Guard spokesman said reopening the strait is tied to Washington’s full acceptance of Iran’s terms. Araghchi said reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on other conditions, including compensation for Washington’s violations of a memorandum of understanding in Islamabad. The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said the strait will not be opened unless America changes its behavior, calling for sanctions to be lifted, reparations to be paid and frozen assets to be released.
