Hezbollah says Israel set fire to forested areas in south Lebanon

Hezbollah's media relations said the Israeli enemy is openly setting fire to forested areas in south Lebanon, turning them into completely burned and uninhabitable spaces, in what it described as a continuation of urban destruction, infrastructure bulldozing, and the theft of ancient olive trees. The statement added that this ongoing environmental destruction is taking place amid the authorities' inability even to file a complaint or accusation against the enemy, after giving it prior protection by committing not to submit any complaint in international forums. It called on the government, the Environment Ministry, and all relevant ministries and bodies to raise their voices and move to stop the Israeli brutality against the environment after people and buildings.
