Ayatollah Khamenei issued a decree appointing Major General Ali Abdullah as Chief of Staff of the armed forces. The decree said the appointment followed the martyrdom of Major General Pilot Sayyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi at the hands of the Zionist American enemy, and came in recognition of his valuable services and experience. It also called for strengthening the comprehensive and updated defense and security capabilities and preparations of the armed forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces, enabling a timely revolutionary and effective response to any level and type of military, cognitive, hybrid, conventional and modern threats against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and completing the integration process between the General Command of the Armed Forces and the Central Command of Khatam al-Anbiya on the plan of the martyred Imam.
