Abdollahi sets priorities for Iran’s armed forces staff

Iranian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Major General Abdollahi, in a congratulatory message to Major General Vahidi, outlined the staff’s upcoming priorities, saying it is determined to raise the Revolutionary Guard’s defensive and security capabilities in line with modern and complex regional and international threats, modernize equipment, systems and operational structures according to advanced technologies and field needs, fully and promptly provide operational requirements in missile, drone, naval, ground, cyber and asymmetric warfare fields, strengthen coordination among the forces to make the best use of the country’s defense capabilities, and empower the Basij as a large popular reserve force and arm of the revolution, while enhancing coordination and unity within the armed forces to confront any threat or conspiracy and bolster Iran’s deterrence and defense capabilities.
