US ambassador, General Clearfield meet Berri at Ain al-Tineh

US Ambassador Michel Issa and General Joseph Clearfield, head of the Special Military Coordination Group for Lebanon, arrived at Ain al-Tineh to meet President Berri. Berri was reported to be meeting the US ambassador, General Clearfield and the accompanying military delegation at the time. Upon leaving Ain al-Tineh, the US ambassador said the negotiations in Rome are ongoing and the atmosphere is positive, adding that General Clearfield’s visit to Beirut today aims to clarify the situation as it stands, especially for President Berri.
