Sheikh Qassem says War of True Promise faced Israeli aggression

Sheikh Qassem said the War of True Promise was meant to confront Israeli aggression, which began under the pretext of capturing two Israeli soldiers. He added that the move was necessary to fulfill the promise not to leave prisoners in jail, saying: “How can we change the equation without confrontation and pressure on the Israeli enemy, who understands only the language of القوة.” He said one result of the operation was the release of prisoners and detainees held by the occupation, and that the enemy yielded to this resistance, to this people, and to steadfast, confronting Lebanon. He said deterrence remained in place against the Israeli enemy from 2006 to 2023, calling it proof of the importance of resistance, and said resistance is capable of changing the equation.
