Qassem says Battle of Ululi al-Bas led to withdrawal deal
Sheikh Naim Qassem said that one of the results of the Battle of Ululi al-Bas, despite its difficulty, was an agreement calling for an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, the deployment of the Lebanese army, and no armed presence in southern Lebanon. He added that the enemy yielded to this resistance, to this people, and to steadfast, confronting Lebanon, and said deterrence remained in place against the Israeli enemy from 2006 to 2023, describing that as proof of the importance of resistance and an example of its ability to change the equation. He said the Zionist enemy did not abide by a single clause of the agreement reached with the Lebanese authorities, while the resistance and Lebanon did, noting that the result was 15 months of continued aggression at a lower pace, and stressing that the agreement remains valid and is the ceiling on which they work.
