Nawaf Salam says Israeli escalation is extremely dangerous

Nawaf Salam said the Israeli escalation is extremely dangerous and undermines efforts to stabilize the south. He said the martyrs of the Israeli strike on the town of Ansar al-Sab'ah are not "military infrastructure," and that the children and women who were martyred in it are not military targets. He added that dealing with any military structures, if they exist on Lebanese territory, is solely the responsibility of the Lebanese state through the Lebanese army and its legitimate institutions, and that their presence does not give Israel the right to violate Lebanese territory or endanger civilians. He concluded by calling on Israel to stop this escalation, saying the safety of the people and their right to live on their land are not subject to negotiation or compromise.
