Maalouf says framework agreement has become humiliating for Lebanon
Former MP Cesar Maalouf said the framework agreement, in its current form, has become meaningless and a source of shame and humiliation for the Lebanese government. He added that it is time for Lebanon to have a clear and firm stance, and for negotiations to be conducted from a position that preserves the state's dignity, the people's rights and national sovereignty, not from a position of submission to threat and fire. He also saluted the steadfast people of the south, who face pain with patience and hold on to their land and dignity despite the sacrifices, saying the south is not a bargaining chip and its people are not numbers in war statements.
