Aoun says Lebanon backs framework agreement and counts on Washington

President Joseph Aoun said Lebanon is committed to fully implementing the framework agreement and is counting on the United States to apply it, saying Washington is serious, committed and supportive. He said service ministries are now present in the villages and towns where the army has deployed and are providing services to residents. He added that Israel will not be able to achieve its goals through sheer military force, destruction and the killing of innocent people, and that relations with Iran should be state to state, based on mutual respect and without interference in internal affairs. He also said work is under way to approve laws to combat corruption, complete reforms, advance e-government and activate the judiciary.
