Iranian parliament speaker says Iraq visit will take practical steps
Qalibaf said during his visit to Iraq that they will take practical and major steps to consolidate the security of the two countries and strengthen relations with Iraq. He said the visit is very important, especially in view of the victory of the sacred Islamic Republic system in the homeland defense war during the month of Ramadan, adding that bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran are of fundamental importance in regional developments and that there is no doubt they will see a new order in the region in the future. He also said he will attend, on behalf of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Arbaeen ceremony for the funeral procession of the martyred Imam in holy Karbala. The first deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament received the Iranian parliament speaker and his accompanying delegation.
