Mediators condemn recent Israeli attacks in Gaza
In a joint statement, the mediators, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, which caused civilian casualties, including women and children, and expressed deep concern over the ongoing violations. They said the escalation of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical stage, as intensive work is under way to implement the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, including a meeting between the Peace Council and Israeli officials and constructive steps in the negotiation process. They stressed the need for Israel to fully comply with all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and to refrain from any actions that would weaken the ceasefire or lead to further escalation.
