State Security seizes weapons, drugs in Hazmiyeh house
The General Directorate of State Security said that, as part of follow-up on generator pricing violations and after complaints from residents and the municipality of Hazmiyeh, a patrol from the Baabda regional office went to the home of D.Sh. and his wife N.K. after they failed to appear at the office, and they were brought in on August 10, 2026. It said a search of the home uncovered narcotics, tools and supplies used for drug consumption, as well as military weapons, ammunition, military equipment, four drones, binoculars, a central radio device, surveillance cameras, iron handcuffs, and a sign belonging to the Hazmiyeh municipality. The directorate added that the investigation showed an arrest warrant for D.Sh. on a drug use charge, along with a judgment summary sentencing him to six months in prison for treating security forces harshly.
