Palestinian killed in Jenin during Israeli military raid
Enemy media: The Israeli military said a Palestinian was shot dead overnight in the West Bank city of Jenin while trying to stab Israeli soldiers, and identified him as the father of the attacker who killed three Israelis in Tel Aviv in 2022. The army said troops from the Paratroopers Brigade were carrying out an arrest raid in Jenin when they were attacked by a Palestinian armed with a knife, adding that the forces returned fire and killed him, with no soldiers hurt. Palestinian media identified the man as Fathi Hazem, the father of Raad Hazem, who opened fire at a bar in Tel Aviv on April 7, 2022, killing Tomer Morad and Eytam Magini, both 27, and Barak Lufan, 35, a father of three. They said Raad Hazem later fled, was found hiding near a mosque in Jaffa after an hours-long manhunt involving hundreds of security officers, and was shot dead after drawing a gun and opening fire on the officers.
