Menasseh and Salam praise the Lebanese Army’s unity and role

Defense Minister Michel Menasseh said the Lebanese Army has always been a unifying force for all Lebanese, and that whenever it has taken on a mission it has carried it out with great precision, professionalism and courage, while remembering the martyrs of the Lebanese Army. Salam said the army’s strength lies not only in its weapons, equipment and manpower, but also in its unity, adding that it is one of the few institutions where Lebanese meet not as members of sects and regions but as citizens of one nation. Speaking from Tyre to the families of the army, Salam said their sons are not only martyrs of the institution but martyrs of the whole nation, and that the best tribute to them is to build a strong state whose institutions are not overshadowed by any weapon over the army’s weapon.
