Iran says it downed U.S. MQ-9 drone over Khomein

🔴 Iran announced the downing of a U.S. MQ-9 drone by its air defense system, while Tasnim said it was shot down in the city of Khomein in Markazi Province in central Iran. Another version said the incident took place over Khomein, and an informed Iranian source said the new air defense system was successfully tested for the first time tonight, with a U.S. drone being downed. Iranian sources also quoted the Revolutionary Guard as saying it had begun its response to the aggressors and had downed the advanced 50th MQ-9 drone belonging to the U.S. Army, while Israeli media said Iran had downed an MQ-9 drone for the second time within less than 24 hours.
