Hezbollah denies any link to reported security cell

Hezbollah's media relations office issued a categorical denial of media reports alleging that it has any connection to a security cell reportedly arrested over claims that it sought to destabilize security in Lebanon and Syria. It said Hezbollah has no link, near or far, to any such cell or group, and described the allegations as completely false. It added that attempts by some media outlets to drag Hezbollah's name into such security cases and attribute the claims to unnamed sources are part of efforts to mislead, distort the party's image, stir strife, and undermine security stability in the country.
