Palestine: Israeli army reinforces West Bank forces ahead of the holidays
In Palestine, The Israeli army has reinforced its forces in the West Bank ahead of the holidays. Battalion 202 of the Paratroopers Brigade is set to join the field activity, alongside the Nahal Brigade, the Paratroopers Brigade, the Home Front Command Rescue Brigade, and more than half of the Kfir Brigade. The battalion has completed an extensive exercise at the Northern Command training base after months of operating in Gaza, including simulations of mass-casualty incidents and encounters in built-up and open areas. Under the direction of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, the 98th Division has been placed on alert to operate alongside the West Bank Division if a security escalation occurs in the coming period, in order to improve readiness and prevent deterioration.
