Lebanon confirms US guarantees regarding pilot areas

A Lebanese official source: The purpose of the pilot areas is to ensure they do not pose a security threat and are free of any military activity. There are US guarantees that the areas where the army operates will not be targeted. We have not been informed of specific timelines for completing work in the three pilot areas. Lebanon's delegation to the seventh negotiation round in Rome will include diplomats and army officers.
