Smotrich weighs options to strengthen Religious Zionism slate
Enemy media: Smotrich said that in recent weeks he had considered adding numerous figures to the Religious Zionism slate for the upcoming Knesset elections, but delayed a decision to reserve slots for what he saw as a necessary and responsible merger with Ofer Winter’s party. He said he believed unity within the national camp was more important than his party’s own interests and strengthening it with new figures, but now that Winter appears to have decided to run independently, he will return to considering ways to strengthen Religious Zionism through candidates the party chairman had personally reserved. Smotrich also accused Winter of stubbornly rejecting every proposal for unity within the nationalist camp.
