Amir Avivi to join Likud in reserved fourth spot

Enemy media: Amir Avivi, founder of the Israel Defense and Security Forum, will join Likud in the fourth reserved spot on its list. He has held senior positions in the IDF, including Deputy Comptroller of the Defense Establishment, Chief of Staff’s Bureau Chief, Deputy Commander of the Gaza Division, Commander of the Sagi Brigade, Commander of the 605th Battalion, and Commander of the Combat Engineering School. Avivi was born in Jerusalem and spent his childhood in several countries because of his father’s diplomatic postings. At 18, he returned to Israel as a lone soldier, enlisted in the IDF as a combat soldier in the Combat Engineering Corps, and rose to the rank of brigadier general. Avivi and the Israel Defense and Security Forum support Netanyahu’s security doctrine, which is based on decisive victory, initiative, and Israel’s security independence.
