Salam’s office says no Nabatieh visit was scheduled this week
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s office said no visit to Nabatieh had been scheduled for this week, so no visit was canceled, and that what is being circulated on the matter has no basis in truth. Salam praised the Lebanese Army’s efforts and measures to strengthen its deployment in the non-occupied villages and towns, helping reassure citizens, maintain stability, facilitate residents’ return, and ensure the regular functioning of public administrations and institutions. The office said Salam is closely following developments in Nabatieh and its surrounding areas, remains in constant contact with the city’s Imam, Sheikh Abdul Hussein Sadeq, and its mayor, Hajj Abbas Fakhr El-Din, and hopes to visit Nabatieh at the earliest opportunity.
