IDF says Hamas Nukhba member killed in Khan Younis strike

Enemy media: 🔴 Urgent: The IDF said Ismail Ibrahim Darwish Qandil was killed in Khan Younis, saying he was a member of Hamas's elite Nukhba Force who took part in the October 7 attacks and in the killing of Nahal Brigade commander Col. Yonatan Steinberg. The military said Qandil infiltrated Israel on October 7, 2023, and was involved in Steinberg's killing near the Kerem Shalom border community. It added that he had recently been advancing attacks on troops and civilians and trying to restore Hamas capabilities, in what it called a systematic violation of the ceasefire, and said he was killed to remove the threat he posed.
