Large fire breaks out south of Medina at oil pumping station
Satellite images showed a large fire breaking out south of Medina in Saudi Arabia, amid the possibility that the Yemeni army targeted oil pipelines in the area. A thick column of black smoke rose over southern Medina after a major fire at a pumping station belonging to the Saudi oil pipeline. Satellite data indicated intense burning exceeding 70 megawatts for several hours, which may point to a large oil leak and ignition under high pressure, while other images showed dense plumes of smoke rising from the Saudi oil pipeline south of Medina yesterday.
