Bloomberg says secret oil shipments have crossed the Strait of Hormuz
Oil-exporting countries are carrying out secret fuel shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, a factor that is helping restrain energy prices, according to a Bloomberg report. The agency said oil tankers coming from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait have been crossing the strait for several months with their tracking devices switched off, making it difficult to estimate the volume of oil being transported. Bloomberg also said the movement of these vessels carries a risk of attack, noting that since the start of the conflict, 23 ships belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company have come under attack, leaving one person dead and 20 others injured.
