Israeli security source says Tel Aviv rejects Turkish military entrenchment in Syria

Walla, citing an Israeli security source, said Tel Aviv does not seek to push relations with Turkey into deterioration, but will not accept Ankara’s attempts to entrench its military presence in Syria and establish bases there. The source added that the Syrian regime is working to form an army made up of divisions and brigades, and to modernize the air force by purchasing air defense systems, saying Israel seeks to prevent military buildup in Syria and will not accept air defense systems in Damascus.
