What does tafyish mean?

Tafyish is the everyday Lebanese term for pulling up the record attached to a plate number: the registered owner, a contact number, and the vehicle itself. This page does that from the plate and symbol.

What you need

Two things: the plate number, and the symbol printed on the plate such as B, S or M. The symbol is part of the plate's identity — the same number with a different symbol belongs to an entirely different owner.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?
Yes. Every car service on LBN News is free and needs no account.
How fast is it?
The registry lookup answers in well under a second. Speed violations are fetched live from the Internal Security Forces service and take a few seconds.
Why do some plates return nothing?
The registry does not hold a phone number for every vehicle. When none is recorded you get a not-found message, which does not mean the plate does not exist.
